Sunil Kannath
Founder Director and CEO of Thirdwave Overseas Education, Mr Sunil Kannath is the driving force behind the Thirdwave initiative to assist students in pursuing their dream of studying abroad. His passion drives his commitment to making Overseas Education accessible and affordable to all students aspiring to be global citizens.
His corporate career spanning three decades, is dotted with significant achievements in Branding, Communication & Marketing, Business Development, Strategic Planning, Budgeting and the like.
Sunil began his entrepreneurial journey when he founded his own Event Management & Marketing company. This success spurred him on to launch Thirdwave HR & Networks (P) Ltd. focusing on Human Resources Management and Training.
With a lot of enquiries being generated from his HR clients regarding foreign education for their children, Sunil took the initiative to conduct surveys to asses the market demand. The results were a quite a revelation. Banking on the vast network and credible reputation he developed over time, he instituted Thirdwave – not as a business opportunity, but as a means to make a difference in the lives of students seeking to study abroad!

Smitha Kannath
Director of Thirdwave Overseas Education, Ms. Smitha Kannath has been a dynamic leader in spearheading marketing and business development initiatives to establish Thirdwave as a one-stop solution provider for students planning to study abroad.
With a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, she is also certified in Sales & Marketing, and Computing as well. Smitha is an effective communicator with excellent networking and interpersonal skills, which has been the cornerstone of Thirdwave’s success in maintaining a healthy rapport with clients.
Her role as Corporate Communications Director at Thirdwave HR & Networks She is a strategist cum implementer, skilled in Strategic Planning, Business Development, HR Management, Networking, Fund Management, and Brand Promotion.
